5. Frequent handwashing is also helpful.

In addition to these well known hints, there are a few other things that may help. There are some foods in general which can help people improve one's overall immune system.

Allium or the onion family has shown benefits to people fighting viral and bacterial infections Wakame, a seaweed has been shown in clinical studies to increase the secretion of Immunoglobulin A, a natural secreted mediator against infection. In some studies it has been shown to help treat viral infections and improve healing Dark greens like kale and broccoli have been shown to help protect the body. Mushrooms have also been shown to be beneficial In one study elderly people were randomized to 2 groups both receiving the Pneumovax vaccine, one group eating a diet high in fruits and vegetables, the other a diet low in fruits and vegetables. After 16 weeks of receiving the vaccine their antibody titers were measured and the high fruit and vegetable group had significantly higher antibody titers. This shows that healthy food can improve the body's response thus helping create better immunity Sources: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23442670/
